Inspecting a Fall-Arrest Harness Before Every Use
A full-body harness only protects the person wearing it if it is fit for use. Here is the pre-use inspection routine we teach on every working-at-height programme.

A person held in a harness after a fall cannot wait. This programme covers the core competency in fall protection and rescue that lets a team recover a suspended colleague quickly and under control.
A fall arrest system stops the fall, but the person it catches is left suspended in a harness and cannot wait. Rescue therefore has to be part of the work-at-height plan from the start, with a team on site able to carry it out.
Rescue at height is what Eduforce describes as its chief domain and expertise. This programme builds the core competency for recovering a suspended colleague quickly and under control, and for handling the casualty once they are down.
